The Owners

Owner Louie Oliva grew up in Nikiski Alaska working in his father’s excavation and Oilfield support company. Going to work with his dad as a child sparked his desire to own his own trucking and transportation company. During that time he learned how to operate many different types of equipment, what it takes to make a business successful and most importantly, how to drive trucks. In 2005 he decided the best way to take steps towards his dream was to work independently in the transportation industry and moved to Anchorage, Alaska. This move was a great step; he learned hands on about the trucking industry and specifically about; equipment, maintenance, operations, managing a trucking company, the importance of meeting deadlines. Above all else placing the customer needs first, is what makes a business successful.

Louie’s Wife and partner in LNW Transport, Wendy Oliva also grew up on the Kenai Peninsula with self employed parents and always knew she wanted to own a family run business. She grew up raising and training a professional sled dog race team, spending many long days on the trail with her dog team. During those years she learned a great deal about hard work, dedication, team work and the importance of family & community support. 

In Anchorage Wendy decided it was time for a change and pursued a career in the Insurance industry. She has been very successful in her insurance career and learned a great deal about business management, finances and providing top quality customer service. These skills are a great asset to any business and help to ensure customers are consistently given the highest level of service. 

In 2012 Louie & Wendy had an opportunity to pursue their passion and start their own business. They saw a necessity in the Alaskan trucking industry for a company specializing in high priority freight with a focus on unparalleled customer service and started LNW Transport. They will continue to grow and offer more services in the years to come.
